Terms of Service
Last Updated: October 22, 2026
Thank you for using Sit Less.
These Terms of Service (this "Agreement") constitute a legal agreement between you ("you" or "your") and the provider of Sit Less ("we," "us," or "our"). It governs your access to and use of the Sit Less mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Agreement, please do not use the Service.
If you are using the Service on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to this Agreement. In that case, "you" and "your" will refer to that entity and its authorized users.

- Step goals for movement breaks;
- Break tracking and activity history;
- Progress summaries and statistics;
- Cloud storage and synchronization;
- Account management;
- Subscription-based features; and
- Other features that we may introduce or discontinue from time to time.
Sit Less is a movement and habit-building tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, health, fitness, ergonomic, or other professional advice. You should consult a qualified professional before making health-related decisions.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction to use the Service.
The Service is not directed to children under 13 years old, or under the minimum age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction where that age is higher. If you are under the applicable age of majority or other legally required age in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian where required by law.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with the laws and regulations applicable to you.
3. Your Account
Certain features of the Service require you to create an account.
You agree to provide accurate and reasonably complete information when creating and maintaining your account. You are responsible for keeping your account information up to date.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs through your account, except to the extent that such activity results from our own failure to maintain reasonable security.
You must not:
- Share your account credentials with another person;
- Allow unauthorized persons to access your account;
- Attempt to access another person's account;
- Create an account using false or misleading information; or
- Use another person's identity or credentials without authorization.
If you believe that your account has been accessed without authorization, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
4. License to Use the Service
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes.
This license does not transfer any ownership rights in the Service to you.
You may use the Service only as permitted by this Agreement, applicable law, and the applicable platform rules.
You may not:
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display the Service except as expressly permitted;
- Rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer access to the Service;
- Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the Service;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent technical restrictions or security mechanisms;
- Interfere with the operation or security of the Service;
- Use automated systems to access the Service in a manner that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
- Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices;
- Use the Service to develop a competing product or service where prohibited by applicable law; or
- Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized purpose.
Nothing in this Agreement grants you ownership of the Service or any intellectual property rights in it.
5. Your Content and Data
The Service allows you to create, submit, store, and otherwise provide information, including schedules, reminder preferences, step goals, break records, step counts, activity history, and other content ("User Content").
You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to the rights necessary for us to provide the Service.
You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, reproduce, and otherwise use your User Content solely as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, provide, and improve the Service, or as otherwise permitted by our Privacy Policy or applicable law.
You represent and warrant that:
- You have the necessary rights and permissions to provide your User Content;
- Your User Content does not unlawfully infringe the rights of another person or entity;
- Your use of the Service does not violate any agreement or obligation applicable to you; and
- You will not intentionally submit malicious code, harmful files, or other material designed to interfere with the Service.
You are responsible for reviewing the information you enter into the Service and ensuring that it is accurate and appropriate for your intended use.
6. Schedules, Breaks, and Step Data
Sit Less may calculate or display step progress, break completion, activity summaries, and other values based on the information you provide or that is generated through your device.
These calculations and summaries are provided as general activity and habit-tracking functionality only.
You are solely responsible for verifying your activity information before relying on it for:
- Medical or health decisions;
- Fitness or rehabilitation programs;
- Workplace safety or ergonomic assessments;
- Insurance or benefits claims; or
- Any other health, legal, or professional purpose.
Step counts depend on your device, sensor availability, permissions, and how you carry your device. We do not guarantee that step counts or activity records will be complete or accurate.
You should independently verify important information and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.
7. Movement Reminders and Notifications
The Service may allow you to configure schedules, reminders, alarms, and step goals.
Reminders depend on device settings, notification permissions, alarm permissions, operating system behavior, and other factors outside our control. We do not guarantee that every reminder will be delivered at the exact time you configure.
You are responsible for configuring reminders in a way that is appropriate for your circumstances. Do not rely on the Service for safety-critical, medical, or emergency reminders.
You can change or revoke notification and motion permissions at any time in your device settings.
8. Subscription Services
Certain features of Sit Less require a paid subscription called "Pro". Pro is available on a monthly or yearly basis.
Subscription features, prices, billing periods, and availability are displayed within the Service or through the applicable app store.
8.1 Pro Features
Depending on your plan and the current version of the Service, Pro may include:
- No ads;
- Unlimited schedules;
- All-time statistics beyond the current month;
- All-time history beyond the current month;
- Secure cloud storage; and
- Additional Pro features that we may introduce over time.
We may modify subscription features from time to time, subject to applicable law.
8.2 Auto-Renewable Subscriptions
If you purchase an auto-renewable subscription through Apple's App Store, payment will be charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period, the subscription will automatically renew for another subscription period.
Your Apple Account may be charged shortly before the current subscription period ends, subject to Apple's applicable policies and billing procedures.
You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account and the subscription management settings provided by Apple.
For subscriptions purchased through the App Store, Apple's applicable terms, policies, payment processing rules, and refund procedures also apply.
8.3 Subscription Pricing
The applicable price will be shown to you before you confirm a purchase.
Prices may vary by country or region and may be changed from time to time. Where required, we will provide notice of price changes or obtain any required consent.
Taxes and other applicable charges may be included in the displayed price or calculated according to the rules applicable to your location and the platform through which you purchase the subscription.
8.4 Cancellation
Canceling a subscription prevents future renewal but generally does not terminate access immediately. Unless otherwise required by applicable law or the applicable app store's policies, you may continue to use paid features until the end of the current paid subscription period.
Deleting the Sit Less application from your device does not necessarily cancel an active subscription.
You should manage subscriptions through the platform where you purchased them.
8.5 Restore Purchases
If you have previously purchased a Pro subscription, you may be able to restore it using the Restore option in the Service, subject to the applicable app store's rules and the status of your subscription.
9. Purchases Through Apple
If you download or use Sit Less through Apple's App Store, your use is also subject to the applicable Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and Apple's usage rules.
Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support services for Sit Less, except as required under applicable law.
Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to Sit Less, including claims relating to product liability, consumer protection, privacy, or intellectual property, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement and may enforce applicable provisions of this Agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.
Your license to use the iOS application is limited to a non-transferable license to use the application on Apple-branded products that you own or control, subject to Apple's applicable usage rules.
These provisions are intended to supplement, and not conflict with, Apple's applicable terms and requirements.
10. Free Features and Changes to the Service
We may offer certain features without charge.
Free features may be subject to reasonable limitations, including a limited number of schedules, access to statistics and history for the current month only, and the display of advertisements.
We may introduce new features, modify existing features, impose reasonable limits, or discontinue features from time to time.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate notice before making material changes that adversely affect your rights.
11. Service Availability
We will make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available and functioning properly.
However, we do not guarantee that the Service will always be:
- Available;
- Uninterrupted;
- Error-free;
- Secure against every possible threat;
- Compatible with every device or operating system; or
- Free from delays, outages, or other technical problems.
The Service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical problems, third-party services, network conditions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
12. Cloud Storage and Synchronization
Certain features may store your User Content on our servers and synchronize it across supported devices.
Synchronization depends on network connectivity, account status, service availability, and other technical factors.
We use reasonable measures to protect stored information, but no storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You remain responsible for maintaining independent copies of information that is important to you.
We recommend maintaining appropriate backups of important business, financial, tax, or legal records.
13. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on or integrate with third-party services, platforms, authentication providers, payment processors, hosting providers, analytics services, or other third-party technologies.
Third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for the availability, functionality, security, or policies of third-party services that we do not control.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to additional terms imposed by those providers.
14. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, user interface, visual elements, trademarks, logos, text, graphics, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except for the limited license expressly granted in this Agreement, we reserve all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service.
"Sit Less" and associated names, logos, and branding may be trademarks or other protected intellectual property.
You may not use our trademarks or branding without our prior written permission, except as permitted by applicable law.
15. Feedback
If you provide suggestions, ideas, comments, or other feedback regarding the Service ("Feedback"), you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, display, and otherwise use that Feedback for any lawful purpose without compensation or attribution to you.
You are not required to provide Feedback.
16. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation;
- Commit fraud or facilitate fraudulent activity;
- Impersonate another person or entity;
- Gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data;
- Interfere with the security or operation of the Service;

- Engage in any activity that could reasonably cause significant harm to the Service, its users, or our systems.
We may take reasonable measures to prevent or address prohibited activity.
17. Account Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time.
You may also delete your account where account deletion functionality is available or by contacting us.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:
- You materially violate this Agreement;
- Your use of the Service creates a security or legal risk;
- You engage in fraud, abuse, or unauthorized activity;
- We are required to do so by law; or
- We discontinue the Service.
Where reasonably practicable and appropriate, we will provide notice before suspending or terminating an account, unless immediate action is necessary for security, legal, or other legitimate reasons.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will end.
Certain provisions of this Agreement that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective, including provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, dispute resolution, and applicable law.
18. Account Deletion and Data
You can permanently delete your account and associated personal information directly from the Account settings within the Sit Less app, or by contacting us at support@tavune.com, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Certain information may need to be retained where required by law, necessary to resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce agreements, or otherwise permitted by applicable law.
Deletion of your account may result in the permanent loss of your User Content.
You are responsible for exporting or otherwise retaining any information that you need before requesting account deletion, where applicable.
For more information about how we collect, use, store, and delete personal information, please see our Privacy Policy.
19. Disclaimer of Warranties
Sit Less does not provide medical advice and is not a substitute for professional medical or fitness guidance. You are responsible for your own physical activity and should stop any activity that causes discomfort.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
We make no warranties or representations, express or implied, regarding the Service, including warranties of:
- Merchantability;
- Fitness for a particular purpose;
- Non-infringement;
- Availability;
- Accuracy;
- Reliability;
- Security; or
- Suitability for your particular requirements.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any data or calculation produced by the Service will be accurate or complete.
Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits any warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or this Agreement will not exceed the greater of:
- The amount you paid to us for the Service during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or
- USD 100.
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under applicable law.
21. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us and our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from:
- Your violation of this Agreement;
- Your unlawful use of the Service;
- Your User Content;
- Your violation of another person's rights; or
- Your violation of applicable laws or regulations.
This provision does not require you to indemnify us to the extent that doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
22. Changes to This Agreement
We may update this Agreement from time to time.
When we make material changes, we may provide reasonable notice through the Service, our website, or other appropriate means.
The updated Agreement will become effective on the date stated in the updated version.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Agreement constitutes acceptance of the updated Agreement, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
If you do not agree with a material change, you should stop using the Service and, where applicable, delete your account.
23. Governing Law
This Agreement will be governed by the laws applicable to the relationship between you and us, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
If mandatory laws in your jurisdiction provide you with rights or protections that cannot be waived by contract, those rights remain unaffected by this Agreement.
24. Dispute Resolution
Before bringing a formal legal claim, we encourage you to contact us and attempt to resolve the issue informally.
Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising rights that cannot lawfully be waived, including rights provided by applicable consumer protection laws.
Where applicable law permits contractual dispute-resolution provisions, disputes arising from or relating to this Agreement or the Service will be resolved in accordance with the applicable law and jurisdiction governing the relationship between you and us.
25. Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is determined to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
26. No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of this Agreement does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that provision in the future.
27. Entire Agreement
This Agreement, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms expressly incorporated into the Service, constitutes the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of the Service, except where additional terms expressly apply to particular features or services.
